An Amazing Earth Day Celebration ...
Come join in a wonderful day of fun for the whole family, and celebrate the Earth at the same time! On Saturday, April 25th, Wallace Park will come alive with music, food, and family-friendly fun. Youngsters can take part in a variety of interactive and creative activities in our kids village, while adults can learn about environmental organizations, natural healing practices, and local sustainable businesses. Meanwhile, the sounds of bands like Alpaca, Taproot, Off the Grid, Sweet Home String Band, Fruition String Band, Sara Tone, and Hijinks are guaranteed to get folks of all ages dancing in the park. This event is free and open to everyone. It runs from 10am to 6pm, at Wallace Park (NW 25th & Raleigh). This event is coordinated by the City Repair Project, and sponsors include the Food Front Cooperative Grocery, Lewis & Clark College, the National College of Natural Medicine, KBOO Community Radio, the ReDirect Guide, and Legacy Health Systems. For more information, visit www.cityrepair.org, email earthdaypdx@gmail.com, or call 503-459-7322.
